Love One Another Day 1 | 1 Cor. 13:1-3
I find this to be completely relevant to our home life. 2018 has arguably been a very rough year for my family and I. Like many families we have experienced quite a few unexpected changes. As a result tensions can get high and the desire to only look out for "self" can be far too tempting.
My husband and I have had to daily remind ourselves that God has called us to serve, not to be served. It's so easy to "say" we love Jesus, but if we don't actually LOVE and SERVE like Jesus (especially when it's the hardest) then is our faith worth anything at all?
Daily I find God prompting my heart to stand strongly in my obedience to the call to love others as I would love myself. To show kindness when it's hardest, patience when I want to loose it, and gentleness when I want to be anything but. Love must be genuine or it's not love at all...
