Take a walk...
I briefly lived in Albany Oregon. It's a small, quiet lumber town located about 45 minutes south of Portland. As a San Diego native it was much more than a culture shock! It was a change I more than welcomed. The quiet night skies painted with stars as far as the eye can see. There was no pollution or obvious decaying of life surrounding the small town. Just the word "town" was new to me. I've never lived in anything smaller than a large city, within a large county, withing in a very large state!
Eventually all new and good things change, or come to an end. During my last month spent in Oregon, I strolled down the street from my house to a nearby neighbors. She had a love for dahlia's. She began supplying them to local florists. She was kind enough to allow me to explore her glorious garden (flowers reaching taller than myself!) with my old Nikon Dslr. Here a just a few of her flowers that took my breath away. I wish there was a way to freeze them and keep them beautiful on table forever!
Too bad I have no green thumb what's so ever.
