Coranado Island, Rain, and Mermaids
Today my girls and I enjoyed a very wet day in Coronado! What was originally planned as a beautiful day enjoying the pool beach side, ended up saturated with thunder and rain! My little mermaids enjoyed walking six city blocks in the pouring rain! I guess it comes with being teenagers.
It was an exciting day for my girls. To top it all off, we visited the Cheesecake Factory and gorged ourselves on avocado rolls and so much more! I love our city! With every weekend adventure I am reminded how very blessed I am to have been born and raised here. San Diego natives are truly a dying breed!
I brought along my camera today. It's been so long since I've taken photos just for me. I've been so busy with maternity & newborn sessions I've had no time to explore and find new inspiration! I hope you enjoy these small snapshots of our day today.
It's easy as mother's to get exhausted, especially with young toddlers pulling on our last nerves.
Then I'll look back at a photo like this...and all the memories of struggle and chaos of the day melt away and all I see is the beauty and joy of motherhood, and how I really don't want her to grow up too fast.
